Why do I need to have a phone number in my ad?
You need a valid contact number to communicate with your customers.

Companies can advertise on our banners or side panels of our home and subcategory pages to get more of our users. This is the best and most cost effective way of getting your company known by our users. I can't contact through the phone number on an ad
  • Cross-border number: you should add the correct country prefix to the phone number.
  • Wrong number: the advertiser may put his/her number in wrong.
  • Scam:It may also be a scammer who is using a fake phone number. If the phone number in the ad doesn't work, please be extra careful and read our safety guide before you buy or sell anything.
  • No Answer: try to contact them through email (see below)
  • No Contact: Not all users choose to make their contact details public on their ads.  If the ad does not have contact details listed in the description you can send a message directly to their email through the "Reply to this Ad" box.

To the right of every advertisement there is a message box entitled "Send Email" Fill out the information, type your message and press send.  Your message will immediately be sent directly to the email address of the user who listed the ad.
I've sent an email to an ad but no response. What do I do?
In this case all that you can do is wait and/or send another message to the advertiser. Some users may take a while to respond others may get so many responses that they don't reply to them all and others may have already sold, rented or fulfilled their listing but have not deleted their ad yet. Unfortunately in this case there is not much busylel can do to help you.

Our privacy policy strictly prohibits us from releasing private contact information about the user as well as it prohibits us from using the user's private contact information to contact them on another user's behalf. Luckily there are many ads on busylel.ie and you should be able to find a similar one soon!

Why report an ad?
We at busylel.ie feel it's very important all your feedback and report on any issues and if you have any difficulties please feel free to contact us. We will get back to you with remedies. Please report an ad if you feel:

  • The published phone number is incorrect. (Link I can’t get through contact number)
  • Scam
  • Wrong or misleading ad

How can I be sure my email to a seller/advertiser has gone through?

busylel.ie uses the Google mail server to deliver all response messages sent on the website.  The messages are not passed through busylel.ie before being sent to the user but instead are sent directly and immediately when you press "send". 

All messages sent through busylel.ie reach the email provided by the advertiser. If however you suspect that you are receiving a Page Error when you try to send a message through busylel.ie you may contact our support team by visiting Busylel Support

Why are my photos not appearing with my ad?

If you uploaded photos with your ad and they are not appearing this is probably because your photos have not yet been approved.   We filter photos before allowing them to be displayed on the website to make sure there is no offensive content.

My ad isn't displayed in the correct Category
When placing your ad we list different options for you to choose your ad in the proper category. Example to place an ad for car Go to the Place Ad button at the top of the page, then motors- cars- brand and Put full description about your ad, including name and price busylel.ie internal search engine will also help people find it by searching for the description text in your ad. If your ad doesn’t contain accurate information our system may not return results if people use the search box.
Can people from other cities and Countries view my ad?
Yes. From any city or Country that allows us, busylel website users are able to search and sort through ads.
When I try to make an account it says this email is already in use.
 This can be one of four things:

  • You already have a busylel.ie account.
  • If you think you may have created a busylel.ie account before with this email try signing in.  
  • If you have forgotten your password, please email support@busylel.ie from the email you signed up with and we will change it for you.
  • You started the registration process but did not complete it.

If this is the case, you may contact us and we can help you activate your account or create a new one.

I’ve just paid for a highlight and I don't see my ad
It can take a few minutes for your ad to be published while the payment is being processed. If your ad hasn’t been published within a reasonable amount of time, please contact us rather than trying to pay again. Email us at support@busylel.ie we’ll find out what the problem is.

If you've paid for a highlight ad by phone and don’t see it advertised don’t text the phone number a second time. If you do text the pay by phone number a second time you will be charged twice. Remember your phone company charges you for every text or call made to our number!

My account is showing up as inactive. Why?

If you have registered within the last 24 hours you may be getting this message because your account has not yet been fully activated. Depending on how you registered, you can activate your account by the applicable method below: If you registered through clicking on the sign up button at the top of the web Home page, you will need to click on the link in the confirmation email to activate your account. You should have been sent a confirmation email when you first signed up. It will say whether your email is confirmed on your 'My Profile' page. To access this, click on the "Hello (Your Name)" button at the top right of the page, and select 'My Profile' from the list on the left of the page. If your email is not confirmed, press the 'confirm email' button to resend the confirmation message to your email. If you have had an active account in the past that is now inactive, this means that our support staff has blocked your account. This will be for one of these reasons:

  • You deactivated your account from your account settings page at some point in the past.  To reactivate your account you will need to contact our support team at support@busylel.ie
  • Your account was phished by fraudulent user who obtained your log in details and is using them to post fraudulent scam ads with your account.  If this is the case you may contact our support team at support@busylel.ie Visiting http://busylel.ie/support to find out how to reactivate your account.  For more information on what to do when you have been phished, vist here.   • You have violated the posting rules of busylel.ie and have been identified by our users and our admin as a spammer.  If this is the case, it is unlikely that your account will be reactivated.  You may negotiate your case by contacting our support team at support@busylel.ie
I placed an ad but it's not appearing.
First, verify that your ad is not appearing by checking your "View ads" page.   From this page you can see all of your ads that are currently live on busylel.ie: If your ad does appear on your My Ads page then it is live on the website. If your ad does not appear on the My Ads page then it did not get properly uploaded to busylel.ie If this is the case please post your ad again.   If after that your ad is still not appearing on your My Ads page then please contact our support team at support@busylel.ie
I started placing an ad but didn't finish; do I have to start over again?
First check on your "View ads" to make sure that your ad isn't already posted.     If you are not able to sign in then you probably did not finish placing your ad and therefore did not finish activating your ad and your account.   If this is the case, you will need to place your ad again by clicking on "Place an Ad!" and following the (place an Ad).
How long does my ad remain on the site?
All private ads placed remain on busylel.ie for 2 Months unless you decide to delete it beforehand. Trade/companies placing adverts with us stay on for 1 Month and there is a charge for all adverts they place with us.
